MAXXMA Eco Blind film roller blinds

A roller blind made from solar control film. The room runs cooler, daylight turns soft, and you still see outside with the blind down. In daily use in offices, on ships and in air traffic control towers across Thailand.

Why a film blind

More than a sunshade

Eco Blind turns MAXXMA solar control film into a roller blind, so it does more than a fabric curtain in a sunny room.

Stops heat at the window

The blind itself is solar control film, rejecting 64% of total solar energy before it spreads into the room, so the air conditioning works less.

Keeps the view

Light comes through softer, like looking through sunglasses. Glare drops but you still see outside, so you do not have to choose between cool and view.

No dust, easy to wipe

The smooth film surface does not hold dust like fabric. No washing needed; a damp cloth is enough.

Blocks 99% of UV

Slows fading of furniture, wooden floors and decor near the window.

Real installations

Proven where clear sight matters most

If a film blind works in air traffic control towers and ship bridges, which must cut glare without blocking the view, it works in your room too. (Every project uses EB-TFBG film.)

Eco Blind in the Don Mueang control tower cab

Air traffic control towers

Typical challenge
A tower cab is glazed on every side and takes sun and glare most of the day, yet controllers must keep aircraft and runways in sight, so opaque blinds are ruled out.
What was installed
Motorized film blinds for tall glazing, cutting glare while the airfield stays visible through the blind.
Ship bridge with a clear sea view after Eco Blind installation

Ships and bridges

Typical challenge
A ship bridge takes strong sun and water glare all day in a tight space, and the crew must see the sea clearly throughout the voyage.
What was installed
Chain and spring film blinds roll up tight to the frame, take no floor space, and come down only where the sun hits.
Chain-operated Eco Blind in an office, with the outside view kept

Offices

Typical challenge
Sun reaches desks and screens and the air conditioning works hard, but opaque curtains leave the room dark and closed in.
What was installed
Chain-operated film blinds that stop at any height, keeping daylight and the outside view.

Installed in 32 air traffic control towers nationwide

Fabric curtain vs film blind

Which one suits your room?

If heat, glare and dust are the problem, a film blind does the job better. Some rooms are still better with fabric.

TopicFabric curtainEco Blind film blind
HeatShades the sun, but the fabric soaks up heat and radiates it into the room.Solar control film rejects 64% of total solar energy; the room cools faster.
View and lightBlocking heat means closing it fully, so the room goes dark and loses the view. You still see outside with the blind down, in soft, comfortable light.
Dust and careFabric collects dust and needs regular washing.Smooth surface that does not hold dust; wipe with a damp cloth.
SpaceCurtain and rail take up space beside the window.Rolls up tight to the frame; fits even a narrow ship bridge.
Best forBedrooms that need full blackout, or classic fabric-led interiors.Offices, living rooms and sunny spaces that still need the view.

VLT
Share of visible light passing through the blind. A lower number means softer light and less glare.
TSER
Share of total solar energy rejected. The main figure for comparing overall heat control.
SHGC
Share of solar heat that still gets in. Lower is better.
UV
Share of ultraviolet blocked, the main cause of faded furniture and floors.

Getting started

No long form. Just send photos.

Send photos on LINE
  1. Send photos and rough sizes on LINE

Photograph the window wide and close up, and tell us the approximate width × height and when the sun is strongest.

  2. We recommend a system

We look at sun direction, window height and daily use, then recommend chain, spring or motorized operation.

  3. Site measurement and quote

We confirm sizes, installation details and the final price after measuring on site.

FAQ

Questions before choosing a film blind

How is a film roller blind different from a fabric curtain?

The blind is made of solar control film, so it rejects 64% of total solar energy and blocks 99% of UV while you can still see outside. A fabric curtain has to be fully closed to block heat. The film surface also does not hold dust and is easier to clean.

How much can I see outside with the blind down?

EB-TFBG lets 8% of visible light through. The view looks darker, like through sunglasses, but stays visible — the same reason control towers use it, where staff must see the airfield at all times.

Can people see in at night?

A film blind is not a blackout blind. In daytime, when it is brighter outside, it is harder to see in. At night with the lights on inside, people outside can see in. For night-time privacy, for example in a bedroom, pair it with a blackout curtain.

How much does it cost?

The chain-operated system starts from 4,000 THB per square metre. Spring and motorized systems are priced on request. The final price is confirmed after measuring on site.

Can I return or exchange a blind?

Every blind is made to the size measured on site, so returns and exchanges are not accepted. We confirm size, system and details with you before production.

Motorized, chain or spring — which should I choose?

For tall openings, large glass walls or many windows, start with motorized. For daily use with stops at any height, chain-operated fits best. For tight spaces without a hanging chain, choose spring.

Does it work on ships or in all-day sun?

Yes. We have installed film blinds on HTMS Chakri Naruebet, HTMS Pattani and 2 private vessels, and in 32 air traffic control towers nationwide. We check the structure and fixing points before proposing an installation.

How is it different from window film on the glass?

Window film is permanent and always on. A film blind opens and closes with the sun and needs nothing on the glass, so it suits windows where film cannot be applied or where you sometimes want full daylight.

What should I send on LINE?

Photos of the window, wide and close up, the approximate width × height, and when the sun is strongest. We will recommend a system and arrange a site visit.
